Wire VPN for Android — Third-Party Components & Licences

Wire VPN is a fork of WireGuard for Android. This file lists the components shipped inside the APK and their licences.

Go toolchain 1.24.3 compiles libwg-go.so BSD-3-Clause
termux-elf-cleaner (tunnel/tools/elf-cleaner) strips ELF debug sections from libwg.so/libwg-quick.so at build time GPL-3.0-only

termux-elf-cleaner runs only during the build on the build host; it is not distributed with the application.

Note on the wireguard-go history

Historically wireguard-go was licensed GPL-2.0. The current upstream Go module (golang.zx2c4.com/wireguard), which this project builds, is licensed MIT, and every source file in the pinned module revision is marked SPDX-License-Identifier: MIT.
